Welcome to Alto Park Elementary School Preschool. Our school is located in Rome, Georgia, approximately 75 miles northwest of Atlanta. We are one of twenty-one schools in the Floyd County School System.
Alto Park has approximately 400 students in grades Pre-K through five, with 20 homeroom classes. Additional programs at our school include: full-time art, music, and P.E.; a full-time counselor; resource classes (gifted, speech, Title I, special needs); media services; Even Start Program, and the 21st Century Community Learning Center Grant.
Parents and other adult volunteers play a vital role in the success of our school! We have an active PTO program that meets regularly throughout the school year. Many parents serve as volunteers on a regular basis. In addition, many adults from our community serve as adult mentors to our students. These mentors visit with their student buddies on a weekly basis to provide assistance with schoolwork and to simply be a positive role model in their lives. The Alto Park School Council, comprised of parents, teachers, business partners and the principal, meets on a monthly basis.
