Early Head Start
The Early Head Start program provides education and services to low-income pregnant moms and infants ages 0 to 3. CARD's Early Head Start program is funded to serve 36 individuals and operates home-based and center-based options in Wagoner and Rogers counties.
Head Start
Head Start philosophy is based on the belief that positive educational, social, and health intervention in preschool years helps children succeed in school and in life. They also receive medical and dental care, have healthy meals and snacks, and enjoy playing indoors and outdoors in a safe environment.
Head Start helps all children succeed. Services are offered to meet the special needs of children with disabilities. Most children in Head Start are between the ages of three and five years old. Services are also available to infants and toddlers in C.A.R.D. Early Head Start at selected sites.
