Pre School Description

Infants are cared for with tenderness and love. A warm, soothing environment is provided with just the right mixture of stimulation to meet their growing needs.Toddler
Toddlers are encouraged to explore in a safe, yet challenging area. Gross motor development is a primary focus at this age.
The preschool program is designed to help the children learn through creative play. Lesson plans consist of a mixture of age appropriate activities to provide an environment for the children to develop intellectually, emotionally, physically, and socially.
School age children enjoy more challenging activities such as complex craft and science projects, computer time, and field trips.
The environment at Child Learning and Development Center is not only a fun, educational environment but is healthy as well. Outdoor activities are schedule to provide exposure to fresh air and sunshine. The menu is based on a balance of foods from the four food groups and includes plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. No food is ever fried, no salt is added and very little sugar is used.
Our goal is to focus on a child's ability to learn through creative play. Preschool children learn through the exploration of and interaction with the world around them. We will be providing them with the tools and environment to satisfy their natural curiosity as well as challenge them to look and think beyond their immediate surroundings. The primary curriculum used is the Creative Curriculum, which focuses on the social/emotional, physical, cognitive, and language development. The Creative Curriculum provides the basis for both teacher led and child initiated activities that enhance the learning environment for preschool children. Both individual (i.e., painting, imaginative play, practicing letter formation, etc.) and group activities (circle time, singing & dancing, imaginative play, etc.) are used throughout the day. Center based activities are a primary focus; they are specific to a development yet allow the children to choose an activity that they are interested in.
