Childrens Learning World was established in 1970. Located in Niles, Illinois, the school is dedicated to providing quality education and instruction for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years. Childrens Learning World provides an environment designed for children to naturally develop his or her potential.
In 1907, Dr. Maria Montessori was studying poor children from the San Lorenzo area, just outside of Rome in Italy. It was there that she founded the first Casa dei Bambini, or "Children's House." at the Casa dei Bambini, the Montessori method developed based on Maria Montessori's scientific observation of the children. The children's intuitive and effortless way of absorbing knowledge was noted by Montessori. Therefore, every piece of equipment, exercise, and method used in Montessori education is designed for children to learn naturally. That is to say, children are able to learn by themselves, without the direct instruction of an adult. Adults do not force the learning process, but merely support the children in the quest for understanding and learning.
