Community Parentsis a comprehensive parent and early
childhood program serving children 3-5 years of age and their
families since 1969. The administrative office at 90 Chauncey
St. in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn (population
143867) serves 100 families and Community and Family Head Start
population 106686) located at 41-05 Beach Channel Drive Far
Rockaway NY serves an additional 150 families. Both sites
partner with NYCDOE Universal Pre-Kindergarten. Since 1994the
agency sponsors the Administration for Children's Services Head
Start Training Institute located at 1635 Bergen Street in Brooklyn
NY. Course offerings are the Child Development Associate Program
(Bank Street College-Accredited) and the Family Development
Credential Program (Cornell University-Accredited)
