Child Care Provider Description

The Mead School is proud to be celebrating its 23rd year of Creative Summer, our multi-arts summer program for boys and girls ages 6 1/2 to 16. Centered on the visual and performing arts, this four-week program emphasizes creativity and the creative process. Students explore a self-selected theme through a variety of artistic media and create projects under the guidance and teaching of professional artists. The atmosphere is energetic and committed to supporting the work of artists of all ages.
Courses may include drawing, painting, graphic design, musical theatre, rock band, voice, studio recording, movie making, video news, animation, dance, puppetry, theatre games, radio, improvisation, scene study, Dungeons and Dragons and creative writing. At the end of the four-week session, there is an Arts Festival at which students, parents and friends come together to celebrate the students creative work. Our faculty is drawn from professional artists, educators, and performers who are experienced and committed to the arts and education.
