Pre School Philosophy

We believe the purpose of early childhood education is to provide children with fun, exciting, stimulating, and rewarding experiences while helping to nurture positive Christian values, reflective of the Faith. Our broad educational philosophy is taken from the best of various historical influences. Let us look upon the role of teachers and parents as gardeners and the children as the little flowers. This philosophy coincides greatly with a great doctor of the Church, Saint Teresa of Lisieux, who mentioned in her writings the importance of the simplicity of childlikeness. We, as gardeners, must nurture the little flowers with good healthy food and water, these being love, guidance, and positive example, while allowing them to explore and learn independently. Discipline is implemented in a loving and consistent manner.

By teaching respect and love for one another, then we are showing respect and love for our students and their families. In that way, a child learns discipline. It is called a God-centered curriculum.

We feel that parents are the best teachers. Our goal, as early childhood teachers, is to work with parents. We gently guide parents by directing them with information, resources, and open communication. Our intent is to assist parents in their unique role as teachers of their own children.
