Day Care Philosophy

Hampton Lane Child Development Center (HLCDC) provides a warm, loving, and safe environment for children ages 2 through Pre-K. HLCDC includes an accredited educational program that provides a variety of experiences to help preschoolers develop socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually.

Our teachers encourage each of our children to develop a healthy self-image, to gain self-confidence through interactions with classmates and adults, and to grow toward independence.

We believe that children are always learning and that play is an important part of the learning process. Therefore, the instructional method by which our children learn is through play and small group activities. The curriculum includes experiences in language arts, social studies, as well as mathematics and scientific concepts.

Enrichment experiences focusing on creative arts, music and movement, and fine and gross motor skills are also included in our program. The educational environment at HLCDC is based on the appropriate developmental needs and interests of young children while promoting an appreciation of the world in which we live.
