Preschool Philosophy

As a quality Early Care and Education center, our mission is to guide children from a level of dependence to a level of independence. We create an environment that encourages children to become life long learners.

Our programs provide a vast array of age appropriate experiences and encourage each child to develop self-respect, self-reliance, self-confidence and a strong sense of responsibility for one's own actions.

In order to provide this atmosphere for educational growth and development, our curriculum emphasizes positive self identiy, cognitive skills, language arts, small group and gross motor activities.

Our facilities (2 sites) are clean, bright, cheerful, safe and fully equipped to promote the stimulation of each child's creativity.

The children are encouraged to develop a sense of "self" as "learner", to ask questions, seek answers, discover and observe in a supportive environment.

Parents are supported as partners - valued as the "first teachers" of their children. La Crche works with families through our promoting of school/life readiness skills development for each child.

Parents are encouraged and supported to become strong child advocates, in the lives of their children and children throughout our community.
