Child Care Center Philosophy

"At Creative Kids, we’re inspired by the HighScope educational philosophy. Children’s interests and choices are the foundation of this approach. Our teachers challenge and expand children’s thinking with diverse materials and nurturing interactions. In all our programs, children engage in active learning—direct, hands-on experiences with people, materials, and ideas.

With the HighScope philosophy, there are four specific goals all children are working toward:

3. To learn to plan many of their own activities, carry them out, and talk with others about what they have done and what they have learned.

In order to meet these goals, children participate in a robust Plan-Do-Review process that promotes problem-solving and critical thinking skills. We provide a strong focus on early literacy, social understanding, physical coordination, creativity, and positive character traits.
