Preschool Description
Georgia Head Start and Early Head Start programs provide comprehensive early childhood and family development services to children from low-income households.
Children who attend Head Start and Early Head Start participate in a variety of educational activities designed to improve school readiness. Head Start and Early Head Start children also receive FREE medical and dental care, have healthy meals and snacks provided to them and enjoy quality play indoors and outdoors in a safe environment.
Pre-Kindergarten
A limited number of children from households living in any income bracket can receive a preschool education through Georgia's Pre-K Program.
These children are given an opportunity to develop school readiness skills in an environment that encourages them to have fun while learning.
