Family Literacy in Jefferson County is designed to increase whole-family success in education and promote the community connectedness of families. It attempts to break the cycle of low literacy and under-education while beginning a cycle of education, stability, and independence. Program goals are to:
*Raise the literacy level of the parent
*Provide age appropriate learning activities for children to aid in their preparation for school
*Empower parents as their child's first teacher
