Preschool Description

For more than 25 years, First Lutheran Preschool has served the greater Geneseo community by providing enriching classes for 3, 4 and 5 year-olds. Our mission is to offer a safe and nurturing atmosphere where the child's first school experience is positive and enjoyable. Our curriculum conforms
to the goals and preschool standards put out by the Illinois State Board
of Education and we are certified by the State of Illinois.
Our program curriculum includes free play, readiness, language arts, creative art, cooking, music, games, rhythms, and field trips. Our classrooms are sunny, cheerful places where creativity and exploration is foremost. Every effort is made to make the preschool situation a happy, comfortable place for your child to grow physically, socially, intellectually and emotionally.
During the month of May, the preschoolers will be winding down the school year with lots of fun activities, inside and outside. The older children will make a Memory Book, reminding them of the fun times theyve had at First Lutheran Preschool. We also will be practicing our programs for Mayfest, learning some new songs and finger plays. Outside we will collect spring things for collages and we will use paint brushes and water to paint on the sidewalks.
