Child Day Care Description

Goddard Riverside offers comprehensive early childhood education programs for children ages two to six and a wide range of support for their families. There are five programs in its early childhood cohort: Goddard Riverside's Day Care Center on West 91st Street and Head Start Center on West 95th Street; and SMSTNC's Day Care Center on West 84th Street the West 83rd Street Preschool Program and the Escalera Head Start program on West 87th Street.
Each center use the Creative Curriculum as a base for classroom activities that promote intellectual social emotional and physical growth through the hands-on exploration of science nature and art. The shared curriculum fosters collaboration between our Day Care Centers and Head Start programs. Children also benefit from Goddard Riversides and SMSTNC's partnerships with local museums schools and social service and health organizations.
Goddard Riverside acknowledges the parent as the most important influence on a childs development. Our staff assists parents by providing information about community resources and making referrals. Parents volunteer in the classrooms serve on program committees and attend workshops and social gatherings held on site.
