Child Care Description
The IS 93 Beacon/OST/21st Century After-School Program is a safe haven for neighborhood youth and their families. We offer a wide range of comprehensive and multifaceted programs for both children and adults within the community. The Beacon After-School Program provides services to over 3000 people annually; who reside in various boroughs. The 21st Century and OST programs service over 200 children.
The after-school program is staffed by highly trained Counselors Activity Specialists Social Workers Teachers and other support staff. Our programs are designed to help at-risk-youth avoid drug/alcohol abuse negative police contact educational difficulties and other social and personal problems.
The Beacon Program is open to youth who reside in various boroughs and offers opportunities for them to express themselves through positive outlets such as community service projects volunteering arts programs leisure activities and vocational endeavors. To achieve these goals educational support job-readiness skills sporting leagues and clinics drama groups trips and many other services. This daycare center is permitted to administer non-prescription salves only
