Daycare Center Description

Heaven Sent offers our students a developmental preschool curriculum in a loving and Christian environment. We believe that all children are unique and wonderful creations of God, and need to be treated with dignity, love, and respect.

Heaven Sent does everything we do with our schools motto in mind: Childhood should be a journey, not a race.

Heaven Sent is a ministry of The First Presbyterian Church of Hackettstown, and is fully licensed by the office of licensing of the NJ Division of Youth and Family Services. We are located at 298 Main Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840
Heaven Sent Director Lorinda Ravo was a cofounder of the nursery school, and has been the director and a teacher since we first opened our doors in September of 1988. She holds a BA and an MA in education and has been a teacher for more than 35 years. Lorinda is also the organist/choir director of The First Presbyterian Church of Hackettstown as well as moderator of the church's Board of Deacons.

Michele Vandermark: Office manager
Ben Foster: custodian

100% of our teaching and office staff are College educated, certified in both CPR and American Red Cross First Aid, and participate in continuing education programs each year.

All staff members must complete a background check and health screenings as well as meet the requirements of the Bureau of Licensing in the NJ Division of Youth and Family Services.

All of our staff are moms of former Heaven Sent angels, and they know and believe in our program and philosophy. They bring a love of children as well as a deep understanding of them, to each and every child, each and every day.
