Pre School Description

Our history is our commitment to the needs of children. All children. Higher Education Child Care is located in the heart of the city of Minneapolis and goes beyond the scope of traditional
Child Care Centers.
We hold ourselves accountable for contribution to sustainability by acting with and across institutions. Our organization not only looks at the wrappings, but what is going into the packet.
We provide an environment of cultural inclusion, nurturance and, compassion to the students we serve and the communities we live in.
We have a dual mission. The mission of our childcare is to provide nurturing activities that are designed for self esteem enhancement, positive social skill development and academic excellence. The mission of our nonprofit organization is to provide programs and services that strengthen families.
The primary focus of our childcare is the early childhood, early education, early intervention services to our children and their families.
Higher Education Child Care is a comprehensive community resource center that is able to meet the needs of children and parents in the surrounding communities. Community empowerment is an essential ingredient in our service to the children and families we care for. We feel there is a need for significant accountability to the smallest members of the community to build healthier, more self-sufficient family units. Higher Education Child Care addresses the struggles that may have an impact on the learner. We respond to the interest in resources and referrals by working together with families, and networks that support parents and children.
Higher Education Child Cares on-site supportive services are provided in a friendly and comfortable atmosphere. Our cooperative health services as it relates to child development, early interventions, evaluations or, assessments are available upon request.
Parents who work, attend classes, workshops or, other events and need the nontraditional hours can utilize our before and after hour child care services.
Our ideal environment is to uphold the dream of every human being. Our reality is that we all need to continually work toward this environment. It is because of our commitment to provide quality care in culturally responsive programs that we strive to meet the needs of every child regardless of color, religion, gender or, national origin.
