Welcome to Kids of the Kingdom Lutheran Child Development Center. This packet is designed to acquaint you with our child care development program.
Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. We are open January through December and follow the San Marcos CISD for extreme weather closures. The center is closed for holidays during Memorial Day Fourth of July Labor Day Thanksgiving (Wed-Fri) Christmas Break (2 weeks) New Years Day and Good Friday.
We are licensed by Texas Family and Protective Services and meet and maintain the childcare standards set by the state. The Minimum Standard Rules and Licensing Report as well as Licensing Inspections are posted on the information bulletin board in the hallway. Copies of the Minimum Standard Rules and Licensing Report may be obtained by request or online at (http://www.dfps.state.tx.us/).
Kids of the Kingdom is governed by a Board of Directors which includes members elected by the congregation of First Lutheran Church of San Marcos and a parent representative. The Board meets monthly to make policy decisions and oversee the operation of the center. Kids of the Kingdom does not discriminate on the basis of race creed color nationality ethnic origin or disability in administration of its educational or admission policies.
We are delighted that you have chosen us to join with you in providing for the care of your child. We expect parents to understand and abide by all policies in the handbook and read notes and newsletters that are sent home. Please feel free to be an active part of our center by offering suggestions comments and constructive criticisms while also providing financial and moral support.
