Pre School Description

Little Sun People offers a program design that builds upon the thinking offered in the National Association for the Education of Young Childrens Developmentally Appropriate Practice in Early Childhood Programs. Our learning model also includes aspects of the Creative Curriculum Roots and Wings Affirming Culture In Early Childhood Programs and our own Partnering with Parents for Emergent Literacy Reading Program.
Little Sun People performs continuous assessment of our childrens development using the Ounce Scale portfolios and observation records as our current tool.
Our staff at Little Sun People are well trained early childhood educators approved by the Health Department whose primary goal is to provide and implement an early childhood educational environment that offers abundant opportunities for acquiring new information; for the encouragement of questioning curiosity; for the nurturing of physical health emotional health and social well-being.
While we at Little Sun People are a non-sectarian program we fully respect the spiritual values of all of our children and their families.
