Pre School Description

For children who have not been able to maintain regular school attendance, or who have dropped out altogether, Ada S. McKinley operates Lakeside Academy, a fully accredited charter high school with specialized curricula designed to positively enhance students emotional and social behaviors and foster academic achievement. Children aged 17 through 21 are able to receive individualized tutoring, mentoring, transitional planning and guidance that assists them in identifying and preparing for successful futures. at our school for children with special needs, we use adaptive learning technologies and tools to help our 6 through 21 year-olds. We provide a full developmental program including language development, academics, life skills, socialization, and community integration. On staff at each of the schools are counselors, part-time nurses, and nutritionists who assist children and their families with life-enhancing positive changes.
Ada S. McKinley also knows that a childs early years are among the most critical for learning, which is why we operate 14 Head Start and childcare programs9 are private partnersfor children as young as three years old. Head Start programs are offered cost free to eligible families while childcare programs are provided on a sliding fee scale. In addition, Ada S. McKinley also operates a Teen REACH program, two youth programs, and a seniors program.
