Our Mission at Our Lady of Charity Private school is to provide high quality developmental education and parent support for children and families in order for them to become life-long learners and achievers in society.
Students learn best when they feel comfortable in their environment. We offer specialized student/teacher relationships small classrooms ratios excellent academics and a loving caring faculty which can only lead to the complete success of a student. With the Lord as our Guide we will continue to offer a safe and loving environment so that our students will build the necessary foundations for a healthy successful life.
My own personal philosophy about how students learn is very closely related to that of the school. I believe that personal attention; a loving caring atmosphere and an inviting environment facilitates a child's learning possibilities. Children learn the most when they are comfortable with their school and when they really like and enjoy being in the teacher's classroom. Parents feel comfortable leaving their children in a school with set policies proven excellent academics and a nurturing staff. It gives them the confidence and piece of mind to go to work and not have to worry about the well being of their children.
My personal experience as both a teacher and a director; is that a strict teacher is loved just as much as any other. I have firm rules of conduct for my classroom. Although at first the students have to get used to them everyone benefits from them when we work together.
As a director I expect my staff and faculty to follow a certain set of rules. These rules are more often related to the way I expect students to be taught; the respect that the students and parents deserve; and the nurturing and support that they require as well. It is the philosophy of the school and of myself that when students are respected and all their individual needs are met. Then and only then will students excel and become the men and women of tomorrow.
