Pitter-Patters Goals are to provide a safe, full-structured day of care and fun that will benefit the child and the parent as well as the community. We are a privately owned, family operated licensed child care facility regulated by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services and the Lake County Health Department.
Pitter-Patter is a child care center that offers a service to the parents and opportunities for the children, stressing the importance of academics, creativity, playtime, and socialization with other children. Scheduled activities and fieldtrips are offered as well as extracurricular activities such as a computer class and dance class. For our five and six year olds we also offer a Reading Club.
Our mission is to meet the developmental needs of Pre-School children by providing a safe, nurturing environment, stimulating educational activities, and the opportunity to experience and appreciate diversity. We teach self-discipline, following directions as a group and as an individual, verbally and visually. Our goal is to have our Pre-School children be Kindergarten-ready. While on this journey of learning, children should be having fun as well. The number one way to learn is through play, and learning to play is just as important as learning to write your name. And, use a bright colorful marker to write your name; it is easier for a child to hold and it is more fun than a pencil!
