MISSION:
The Thomas Jefferson Elementary community including administrators, teachers, staff, and parents are committed to providing all students a rigorous standardsbased
educational program for academic excellence using effective learning strategies for all students including at-risk, English Learners, gifted and talented, and
those with special needs, to meet or exceed the federal and state standards. The success of student learning will be measured by the state Academic
Performance Index (API) and the federal Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) scores on the California Standardized Tests (CST). Our goal is to increase student
achievement to meet or exceed grade-level standards and to enable students to become responsible, well-educated, succesSFul adults. Preparing students to
become succesSFul readers, writers, and mathematicians is our highest priority.
