Since 1986, the owner of Shadenjuan Child Care Centers, Deborah Stewart has provided high quality child care programs in Prince Georges County. Some of Deborah's clients from the 1980s now have children of their own who attend Shadenjuan. Shadenjuan not only provides an excellent child care program, the company also gives back to the community by employing several clients who have grown into teenagers and young adults. Shadenjuan has a thriving volunteer program that teaches the importance of quality child care programs, teamwork, and self-confidence. Shadenjuan Child Care Centers offer programs for children ages 2 months - 12 years old that are designed to meet their physical, social and emotional needs.
The name, Shadenjuan {pronounced Sha-den-wan} comes from the names of Deborah's three children (Shanelle, Dennis Jr., and DeJuan). In 1986 Shadenjuan was built for Deborahs children. Now, 25 years later Shadenjuan has grown into the prototype of how a quality child care program should operate.
