Pre School Description

Welcome to SonShine Learning Center. Our Center opened its doors on July
21, 2008, as a mission of Black Canyon Community Church. We saw the need
in our community and wanted a way to help the families.
My name is Sherry Birch and I am the director here. I am married to Tom
Birch, fire chief of Black Canyon City and we have two children Michael and
Jenny. I have always had a heart for children and am very excited to help
the families of our community. I am working toward my AA in Early Childhood
Education and am the Commander of the Awana Club at this church.
I feel that children should be given every chance to grow and learn during the
first years of their life (0-5). I believe that children need to be in a caring,
nurturing environment where they can learn through play. Children grow so
much in these first years and once that time is gone, its gone forever.
SonShine Learning Center provides programs for children from 3 years old
through sixth grade. We have a variety of programs to fit all families needs.
Our facility is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. I
would be happy to give you a tour and answer any questions you might have,
