Pre School Description

The Temple Menorah Early Childhood Center offers a relaxed and intimate setting geared towards the interests and comfort levels of your children. The licensed and trained teachers of our school offer a nurturing environment that will gently guide your child through exploration discovery independence and learning. Our staff recognizes that each child will learn in his/her own style and at their own pace. This knowledge promotes a love of learning that is truly geared towards each and every childs individuality. This love of learning instilled in each child remains a strong base as they grow and development. Our goal is to look at the whole child. We focus on language development physical development cognitive development and social/emotional development and adapt a purposeful curriculum that makes sense of the world.
We offer a unique opportunity for each child to integrate a secular and Judaic curriculum into their every day environment. Jewish valu es are an important part of our developmentally appropriate environment. Through these values we encourage high self esteem empathy and a concern for others. We encourage an understanding of our world both at home in our culturally rich community and around the world.
Our goal is for each child to have a successful educational experience. Therefore we provide opportunities in dramatic play musical exploration story telling dance art nature science language Jewish culture computers reading and individual expression. Enrichment programs in our daily curriculum include Hebrew and secular music yoga dance and movement gymnastics and Shabbat with our rabbis and cantor on Friday.
