In 1963 several visionary New Yorkers associated with the United Nations recognized the need for creating a playgroup in which to bring together culturally diverse young children in the heart of our city. It is out of that insight that The International Preschools saw its beginning.
We are delighted to report that IPS has continued to mature gracefully securing its reputation as a first-rate institution. As the school has grown over the last four decades adding new locations (most recently our West 76th Street location) and more students it has garnered wisdom reflected by the years of experience of its dedicated faculty. IPS has nonetheless remained youthful and forward-looking in its approach to education continually assessing the needs of preschool children in today's world while holding to its commitment of offering a quality preschool experience in which children learn and thrive.
