Learning Ladder Early Childhood Center is dedicated to providing a nurturing, safe, and developmentally appropriate environment for all children. Learning Ladder is committed to enriching children's lives socially, emotionally, intellectually, and physically in an atmosphere that enhances creativity and self-confidence.
The Learning Ladder Early Childhood Center consists of a partnership between ACE Hardware Retail Support Center and Illionis Valley Community College's Early Childhood Education Program. The initial planning of this partnership began the summer of 2000 and our doors opened in August, 2001. The Center is the first company owned on-site childcare center in Bureau County and the second for ACE Hardware Corporation.
The Center is a licensed facility located at the ACE Hardware Retail Support Center in Princeton, IL. Under the management of the Illinois Valley Community College's Early Childhood Education Program, the Center serves as an on-site educational child care facility for ACE Team Members, community, and a lab school to IVCC Early Childhood Education students. Students will use the Center for course observations, field work, and student teaching experiences. The Center will provide a quality education setting for families and children, based on current theory regarding best educational practices for the growing and developing minds and bodies of young children.
