Preschool Description
The Mustard Seed Nursery School, licensed by the State of Illinois, was established in 1983 to provide a Christian education for 3 and 4 year-old children. Its basic preschool curriculum is enriched by the teaching of Christian values through simple Bible stories, prayers and music.
Classes are held at Grace Lutheran Church which sponsors and supports the school, but you need not be a member of Grace Church to enroll your child. We have a separate entrance used by the preschool located at the south end of the parking lot.
Children must be three years old by January 1st to enroll in Mustard Seedlings or Jesus Lambs and four by September 1st to enter Gods Kids programs. (All children must be toilet trained.)
Mustard Seedlings and Jesus Lambs meet on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9-11:30 am. There is also a Friday morning session for older threes. Gods Kids meet on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9-11:30am OR 12:30 to 3pm. An optional enrichment class for older fours meets on Tuesday afternoons. This session emphasizes science, math and reading readiness experiences. There is also a 5-day program for fours only.
