My belief about education can be summed up in one statement What is best for helping each child be successful should always be our focus. I have been in education for the past 21 years and my enthusiasm and dedication for helping children to be successful has never wavered. I first got the teaching bug when I was eight years old by watching my aunt teach in an inner city school in Miami Florida. She would come home in the evenings and describe her challenges and celebrations when working with her students. I knew then that I wanted to follow in her foot steps. My experience working with elementary middle school and special education students prepared me for the challenges of leading a campus to excellence. Building relationships with families and teachers is one of my highest priorities. Together we can make a difference in a childs life. I am excited to start this journey to excellence with the families community and staff at Walnut Bend.
