At Woodland Academy of Springfield we understand the importance of play in early childhood learning. Play structured or free encourages your child to creatively explore the world around them by actively engaging the whole child. Woodland Academy was founded on this simple yet highly effective philosophy. Children learn best when they are completely submersed in an activity. Play allows for this to occur by stimulating a young mind socially emotionally as well as cognitively. Play based learning engages a child in a way that is familiar to them while exposing them to a new concept.
Class size and student to teacher ratios are in accordance with Pennsylvania State requirements to ensure a safe learning environment with individualized attention given to each child.
Our creative curriculum aims to introduce and reinforce academic skills through a variety of age-appropriate activities. Early childhood development is significant and unique for each child. Our program serving children from six weeks to five years of age is divided into five sections so that we can better accommodate each specific stage of development.

Our facility works as an active part of our rigorous curriculum Woodland Academy is housed in a newly renovated facility where safety is the highest priority. The facility has a sprinkler system as well as door alarms which are designed to be safe in a child friendly manner. Our spacious colorful classrooms are each equipped with a sink refrigerator and microwave. A music room rock climbing wall and an outdoor activity area help complete this innovative program.
