Child Care Center Description
This adult-supervised, DHS-licensed program offers a safe and friendly atmosphere after school, until 6:00 PM, with an emphasis on physical activity and creativity. Each child is provided transportation from a Norman Public School. Character development is emphasized while kids socialize, play games, read, do homework or play outdoors. A nutritious snack is served each afternoon. Each child is transported from a Norman Public School to the Y either via the Norman Public Schools bus system or via Y transportation depending on the school. Because Norman Public Schools does not transport 4 year old children, pre-k participants in Prime Time must attend a school with transportation provided by the Y. Students who attend a private school need to check with the Y for bus availability. The Prime Time program corresponds with the NPS calendar and is not offered on snow days. School year, monthly and weekly participation is available.
