Child Care Center Description

The Joplin Family YMCAs School Plus Program is an after school care and activity program designed to provide a safe, nurturing environment for children in elementary school. It is held on site at all current Joplin elementary school locations from the time school is dismissed until 6pm. Theres time for homework and a balanced snack as well as challenging physical activities and creative pursuits, with supervision and encouragement from trained YMCA staff. All staff are CPR/First Aid certified and have been through a background check. Scholarships are available based on household finances, and additional scholarships are available to those experiencing hardship from the May 22nd tornado. State Aid is accepted for those who qualify.
