Child Care Center Philosophy

We will provide a sound educational curriculum for the children in our care. In review of the developmental theories, we believe the model that best meets the community needs is the Creative Play Approach. The Creative Play Curriculum focuses on encouraging childrens play to promote growth in all developmental areas. Our program fosters the growth of children in all six domains of development which are: Personal awareness, emotional well-being, cognition, communication, socialization and perceptual motor.
It is our intent to lay an excellent foundation for future learning. Our program will ensure that our children are well-rounded. We will help to stimulate a love for learning. The educational environment is organized to allow exploration. The latest technology is introduced to our children in a developmentally appropriate fashion. The center is a safe place for our children to learn, grow and develop.
The Puerto Rican Action Board, Inc. Preschool encourages child creativity and nurtures it. A love and respect for the planet and its inhabitants is also promoted. We hold a genuine regard for our multicultural society which will be clearly noted by everyone who enters our facilities.
The Puerto Rican Action Board, Inc. champion excellence in childcare by working hand in hand with all members of the childcare community. We acknowledge the importance of assisting the family as they support their children. As a resource to the entire family unit, we will provide a variety of pertinent information through workshops and meetings that will enrich the quality of family life.
