Preschool Philosophy

Children are eager to use their senses to explore the world around them as early as birth! At Preston, we capture that enthusiasm for exploration and learning by providing developmentally appropriate, child-initiated and teacher-directed activities in a safe, nurturing environment.

Preston Childrens Academy is a Nationally Accredited (NAEYC), Five-Star, licensed childcare facility that serves children 6 weeks to 5 years old. Our full-day preschool program is designed to meet the needs of each child enrolled. We strive to offer a nurturing environment to encourage the social, emotional, and cognitive growth of children within our program which include:

* Infant & Toddler Childcare (6 weeks to 24 months)
* Early Preschool (2 to 3 year olds)
* Pre-Kindergarten Learning Program (4 to 5 year olds)

Program goals are accomplished by providing a balanced environment that includes both teacher-directed and independent learning experiences. We recognize that children learn in both formal and informal ways through active interactions and we maintain classrooms and playgrounds to support this growth.
