Pre K Philosophy
The Head Start & Pre-K program uses Creative Curriculum, Kaleidoscope and As I Am as its educational, multicultural and social/emotional curriculum respectively. We screen each child using Denver II and assess each child using the Creative Curriculum Developmental Continuum. We measure each child's progress by plotting their assessment and viewing the outcome to plan daily activities for the children and track where further training may be necessary for staff.
The Early Head Start program uses Creative Curriculum as its curriculum and Denver II for screening. Daily logs are kept of each child's activities during the time they are at the center and shared with the family. The training resources we use are Partners for a Healthy Baby and Teen Pregnancy A New Beginning.
