The Preschool at First Christian Church is an early education program offered for children ages 18 mos. thru 5 yrs. old. The program has offered a positive Christian based Preschool experience for young children since 1997.
Recognized for excellence in program content and teaching method the Preschool strives to maintain the highest quality early childhood learning experience available in the Temple area.
New additions to First Church Preschool:
Young Angels Class is for children who are 18 mos. old by October 1. The full care program is offered from 7:00am6:00pm MondayFriday. One caregiver per 5 children. 18-24 month old children will spend their days learning playing singing and eating hot lunches and nutritious snacks. Chapel time for the Young Angels is offered daily in the form of Puppet Ministry Bible Stories and other age appropriate mediums. This is a year round program and these Young Angels will move into the Two-School program each fall.
Extended Care Program is offered for children 18 mos.-5 yrs. The day starts at 7:00am with group activities in the Classroom/Gymnasium. The children will then attend the Preschool classes depending on their age and day of the week. After their Preschool sessions they will convene once again for a nutritious hot lunch nap/quiet time rest period outdoor or indoor playground time Joyful Crafters or Centers time. Children will be supervised in four age groups: 18 mos. 2s 3s&4s and 5 years and up. The cost for Extended Care is: 18 mos.-2 yr. olds is $90 per week; 3-5 yr. olds is $85 per week which includes Preschool tuition. There is a yearly Registration/Material fee of $145 per child.
We care about the needs of the children enrolled in the Extended Care program. We understand that nurturing safe and loving care is vital to children who spend a large portion of their time in a child care setting. The school day begins at 8:45a.m. with Chapel at 9:10. The children move back to the classroom for instruction time art projects music and movement snack and stories all designed to stimulate imagination creativity and intellectual growth. Classes are offered for 3 4 and 5 year old children.
