Preschool Description

At Sunrise Montessori Academy, we are dedicated to providing affordable Montessori Pre-School, kindergarten & daycare to today's youth using a technique inspired by Maria Montessori, in which children are taught hands-on rather than by watching.
We are open for full and part time enrollment and offer a full year program for ages 3-6 years old. Early and extended hours (7am-6pm) are available to accommodate families in need of before and after school care.
What is the difference between Montessori and traditional education?
Montessori emphasizes learning through all five senses. Children in Montessori classes learn at their own individual pace, and according to their own choice of activities from many possibilities. Learning is an exciting process of discovery leading to concentration, motivation, self-discipline, and a love of learning. Montessori classes place children in three-year age groups forming communities in which the older children spontaneously share their knowledge with the younger ones.
