Day Care Description
The YMCA after school club is for children in Kindergarten through 13 years of age, where they can have fun, be with friends, make new friends, learn, and grow in a safe environment. The After School Club is licensed by the State of Missouri and is in its 17th year at Central School. Our goal is to provide a safe place for children during those hours when a parent cannot be at home with their child after school. Our programs are recreation-based programs that are structured with many varied activities to stimulate the social, emotional, intellectual, and physical growth and development of our children.
This program is a collaboration between the YMCA and the Chillicothe R-II School District and is licensed by the State of Missouri for school-age children. The Director has many years of experience working with children, is licensed by the State of Missouri and has her CDA certification. Our program meets the requirements of the High School A+ Program.
